Research Interest

I mainly focus on qualitative and quantitative ecology at population and community levels, supporting the management and conservation of aquatic and terrestrial resources in natural and man-made ecosystems: providing baseline information, evaluating status of aquatic and terrestrial resources and identifying impacts of habitat degradation of natural ecosystems. Field surveys are mainly conducted to acquire this information. The goal is to achieve sustainable utilization of natural resources and long term in situ conservation and reducing impact of development to natural environment. Most field studies have been carried out in collaboration with Department of Forestry, Department of Wildlife and National Parks, Department of Fisheries and relevant NGOs.
